Promoting Business Cooperation: HCMUTE Further Strengthens Collaboration with CYBERNET

Continuing to promote its collaboration in business connection activities, on the morning of April 4, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) has signed a memorandum of Understanding with Cybernet Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (CSMY). Through this collaboration, teaching, learning and research activities at HCMUTE will be further enhanced, meeting the need to train high-quality human resources for the Electronics and Semiconductor industry in the context of the industrial revolution 4.0.

Top executives and a number of lecturers from the Department of Computer and Telecommunications Engineering, and the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics attended the ceremony representing HCMUTE. Among them were Assoc. Prof. TS. Chau Dinh Thanh - Vice President of HCMUTE, Assoc. Prof. TS. Le My Ha - Head of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Assoc. Prof. TS. Le Chi Kien - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Au - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, and MSc. Le Phan Nhat Hang - Deputy Head of the Corporate Relations Department.

From CYBERNET and Ansys, several senior executives, and representatives attended the signing ceremony including Mr. Arnie Cheng – Managing Director of Cybernet Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Nguyen Minh Trieu – Country Sales Representative of Cybernet Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Vietnam, Mr. Anthony Dawson – Vice President of Customer Excellence at Ansys, Mr. Shitalkumar Joshi - Senior Director, Ansys India-ASEAN, Mr. Phung Duc Tuan Cuong – Country Manager-Vietnam, Ansys, and also Mr. Nguyen Huynh Thy Khoa - Director of Long Vu Trading & Service Co., Ltd.

According to the MOU, Cybernet Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. will provide access to Ansys learning resources to teach Electronics and Semiconductor courses, provide faculty training programs on Ansys tools for Electronics and Semiconductor, organize symposiums at HCMUTE to develop technical skills and workforce, invite expert speakers, provide access to Ansys simulation tools to support HCMUTE student groups, coordinate the organization of online and face-to-face seminars for academics, and support HCMUTE in updating and upgrading the curriculum related to Electronics and Semiconductors.

At the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. TS. Chau Dinh Thanh - Vice President of HCMUTE affirmed;

"The university always strives to expand international cooperation with leading domestic and foreign businesses and organizations to improve the quality of training, scientific research and integration capacity for students. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today with Cybernet Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. not only brings practical value academically, but also creates opportunities for students to access a practical technology environment, improve their applicability and creativity in the learning process."

Vice President of Customer Excellence at Ansys, Mr. Anthony Dawson shared: 

"Working with universities to bolster simulation skills is key to engineering success across industries. With Ansys Channel Partner Cybernet Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., we look forward to supporting HCMUTE as they develop comprehensive simulation training programs for both lecturers and students. Together, we are equipping future generations of engineers with the skills they need to innovate."

ViAlso at the ceremony, Mr. Arnie Cheng – Managing Director of Cybernet Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. emphasized:

"We are excited to deepen our partnership with HCMUTE to equip students with additional tools and knowledge in electronics and semiconductor technologies, further enhancing their engineering education experience and enabling broader career opportunities in the future."

The delegates discussed specific action programs to effectively implement the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding, especially the development of in-depth training courses on electronics and semiconductor simulation, organizing seminars, technical training and academic competitions for students. In addition, they also expressed their desire to support the university accessing the modern technology resources and connecting students with practical projects from a business perspective, thereby improving their working capacity in the global industrial environment.

This MoU not only shows HCMUTE's commitment to constantly innovating and improving the quality of training in the direction of practicality – modernity – integration, but also contributes to promoting the relationship between the school and businesses to a new level.  creating a premise for many strategic cooperation programs in the future. With solid steps in international cooperation and business connection, HCMUTE is gradually affirming its position as one of the leading technical universities in the region, pioneering in training high-quality human resources for the industrial revolution 4.0.

HCMUTE and Cybernet Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. initially signed a Memorandum of Understanding in November of last year. As a result of this collaboration, over 200 HCMUTE students have already gained access to the latest Ansys engineering simulation software.
