CYBERNET MALAYSIA Sign up with the TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY for Collaboration.
CYBERNET Malaysia and TAR UMT aim to share their knowledge and resources to increase digital engineering awareness among students and promote technological advancement in education through this collaboration.
Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur – July 7, 2023 – CYBERNET SYSTEMS MALAYSIA SDN.BHD. (CSMY), today announced that they have signed an agreement with TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY (TAR UMT) to strengthen their industry-academia collaboration.
Under this agreement, CSMY and TAR UMT aim at a long-term partnership to exchange academic knowledge and industry best practices to provide exposure to students and educators.

“CYBERNET Malaysia has established strong ties with several universities in Malaysia and in other ASEAN countries. We want to share our industry knowledge with young students who will become the next generation of engineers. They can use digital engineering technologies including Computer Aided-Engineering (CAE), to explore more innovative ideas. This collaboration allows us to share our industry knowledge with them and learn from the new generation,” said Takashi Sakakibara, COO of CYBERNET MALAYSIA.
CSMY, established in 2018, aims to expand CYBERNET's presence in the SEA region and offer localized support. They provide CAE software, digital engineering solutions and related services to a broad spectrum of organizations, including companies in the manufacturing industry and academic & government research institutes.
Dr. Yeo Kwok Shien, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology commenting on the occasion mentioned, “We are pleased to collaborate with CSMY in exploring innovative ways for teaching, learning and R&D for staff and students in TAR UMT. We are hopeful that with a closer relationship with CSMY, staff and students would be equipped with contemporary modelling & digital engineering skillsets and this would in return bring positive impact in advancing various engineering industries”.
The signing ceremony took place at the TAR UMT campus in Kuala Lumpur on the 17th of May 2023.

Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (‘TAR UMT’) was established in 1969 as TAR College and is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Malaysia with more than 290,000 students having passed through its doors.
