2021.10.28
Driven by 5G and electrification, the development of electric vehicles is fast-moving, and a more comprehensive and in-depth integration of electronic design is necessary. Therefore, the demand for development tools evolves as well. Nowadays, CAE simulation plays a key role in advanced automotive research and development. As a pioneering CAE solution provider in ASEAN area, Cybernet Systems Malaysia conducted a webinar on Oct 21, 2021, focusing on tackling EV development problems such as common battery thermal, structural performance, electromagnetic field, functional safety, and optical design through the best solutions from Ansys, the world's leading CAE software.
In the first part of the webinar, Dr Kumar Salui, the senior channel partner technical manager of Ansys, gave an overview about how Ansys solutions can help to innovate in automotive designs. Followed up by Dr. Dang Le Quang from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, the presentation showed how to use Ansys Fluent to assist in the early design stage of battery thermal management system. The next presentation given by Muhammad Anas Bin Mat Marzuki, the application engineer of Cybernet Systems Malaysia, conveyed the idea of virtually assessing the structural performance of vehicles under all types of situations with Ansys Mechanical, which helps to accelerate the development process by reducing the number of physical prototypes. Dr. Nicholas Chang, the application engineer of Cybernet Systems Taiwan, showed the simulation cases and solutions of vehicle circuits and cables in electromagnetic filed by using Ansys SIwave and EMA3D. The following presentation by Raghavendra Bhat, the technical manager of Ansys, showed how to develop automobiles under ISO26262 safety standard through adopting Ansys medini analyze and SCADE into the development flow. The last part of the presentation given by Avinash Padmappa, the lead technology specialist of Ansys, demonstrated how Ansys SPEOS and VRXPERIENCE help the design of automotive exterior and interior optics with their high-fidelity and multi-physics simulation.
The webinar attracted more than 150 registrants from Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines and the contents were well received by the participants. In the future, Cybernet Systems Malaysia will keep on providing better and more innovative solutions to automotive industry developers.
