Technical Article - Make Every Mold Count with Creo Mold Analysis

Abstract: Injection molded plastic parts must satisfy demanding requirements for quality, cost, and development speed. Manufacturing defects identified late in the product development process can lead to costly mold modifications, schedule delays, and increased production costs. Integrating mold filling simulation into the product design process enables designers to evaluate manufacturability before tooling is produced. This paper presents the Creo Mold Analysis Extension workflow, describing how simulation embedded within PTC’s Creo supports early detection of mold filling issues, design optimization, and faster product development.
