Design and validate low-straylight camera optics using Ansys simulation

Straylight is a critical performance-limiting factor in modern camera systems, affecting image contrast, signal-to-noise ratio, and overall optical quality. As cameras become more compact and are deployed in demanding applications such as automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial imaging, controlling unwanted light from reflections, scattering, and ghost paths becomes increasingly challenging.

This webinar focuses on practical straylight analysis workflows for camera systems using Ansys Zemax OpticStudio and Ansys Speos. Attendees will learn how to identify major straylight sources early in the optical design phase, model non-sequential effects, and evaluate their impact on image quality. The session will also demonstrate how to combine detailed optical design in OpticStudio with realistic system-level and mechanical context in Speos for more accurate predictions.

Webinar Schedule

11 June 2026, from 10:00 AM - 10:40 AM Malaysian time
Online event including a LIVE Q&A session

What attendees will learn

  • How to identify and quantify straylight sources in camera designs
  • Practical workflows combining OpticStudio and Speos for straylight analysis
  • Design strategies to mitigate straylight and improve image quality

By the end of the session, participants will understand how to apply industry-proven simulation techniques to diagnose straylight issues, compare mitigation strategies, and support design decisions with quantitative results.
