Easy Design Configuration and Management

Model navigation and management is highly efficient with the LucidShape CAA V5 Based specification tree structure, which keeps all automotive lighting components organized and accessible from a single location. Products have a tree section that allows you to edit all LucidShape-specific elements in an entire product assembly.

Choose various sources and sensors; assign, create and edit materials and media using a materials library; and define simulation settings and analysis preferences. Support for CATIA Design Tables allows you to construct and simulate design variations quickly. It also streamlines the creation of multiple design forms for a product line.

Rapid Design Verification

The software can rapidly and accurately ray trace part-level models or product-level assemblies using both tessellated and NURBS simulation methods, for comprehensive CATIA-based optical simulations. You can run a simulation on one part while you continue to work on another part in the same project.

The software also supports multi-core processing and GPU ray tracing (for tessellated mode only) to further accelerate simulations.

Optimized Light Guide Designs

The LucidShape CAA Light Guide Design Module helps automate the construction, analysis and optimization of light guides and their extraction features to improve light output. You can create light guides with fillets that conform to manufacturing constraints, allowing you to achieve better as-built performance.
